Dark garnet color. Aroma of prunes and dates. Sweet raisin flavor with a touch of heat from the alcohol. Mellow, smooth finish.
Smoother than some other ports I've tried, but the alcohol gave too much of a burn on big sips. Might have been better paired with something salty like a Stilton, but I didn't have any handy.
